High-performance CATV amplitude modulation optical receiver

The built-in CATV amplitude modulation optical receiver of PN8626 features outstanding performance and complete functions. It holds the first ABP FTTH CATV optical receiver certificate, which is the only third-party voluntary product certification in China's radio and television industry at present.

PN8626 series ONUs are integrated with an internal CATV module. It receives CATV optical signals sent to the CPE, converts the optical signals to RF signals, and transmits the signals to a set-top box (STB) to enable users to watch television.

SC/APC optical interfaces are used for CATV input by default (FC/APC interfaces are optional). The optical receive wavelength ranges from 1000 nm to 1680 nm. Under the standard 1550 nm wavelength, the ROSA response rate of the interfaces is greater than or equal to 0.9, ensuring high utilization of input optical signals.

F interfaces are used for output (metric system and imperial system are available). The characteristic impedance is 75 ohms, perfectly matching current radio and television networks.

The MCU chip and ONU main chip controlling AGC functions adopt the I2C connection. Depending on the extended OAM software design, the chips can remotely monitor, manage, and control CATV modules to improve the O&M capabilities of radio and television operators on dual-fiber triple-wave FTTH networks.
